Now Loving: Baseball Jackets.

I’m going to do a big haul soon for some new cold-er weather clothes. I can’t wait for this shopping spree. So this series, “Now Loving” will collectively be my shopping list—hopefully I’ll find some great clothes! So to start off, I’ve been seeing baseball jackets everywhere and they are so fantastic. Who knew these used-to-be-sports-only jackets would become a fashion staple? But how chic are they!?

The runways and the streets have been seeing a lot of sport-inspired fashion and sporty details, especially in black and white. I love both the literal adaptations and the more conceptual adaptions of the so-called Sporty Chic trend. Numbered jerseys, liquid leggings, baseball/varsity jackets, caps, and mesh accessories, this trend has it all:

The first day of school is always bittersweet. Summer is absolutely wonderful, but I’ll admit, I love school! But by no means does having fun with fashion stop.  Comfort becomes a more important qualification for what I wear during school though, of course. So for my first day, I went for my ‘Lost Angeles’ tee (it’s so soft!) and navy crochet shorts (also really comfy). I glammed it up—is that a real phrase?— with these cute gold bangles.  I added a dash of werk and I was good to go.

Werk your sustainable fashion.

Heard of Reformation? They’re a bicoastal fashion brand that recycles vintage and surplus fabrics into new, fashion-forward clothing. In distribution, they do not add to global pollution. Everything is limited edition or one-of-a-kind. That’s what I’m talking about! To top it off, they just posted this delicious invention on Instagram:

It’s  a dress that’s a also blazer! What Reformation calls a ‘drazer.’ And check out that on-trend tropical print. Unbelievable. So let me just recap this: basically, Reformation created a new kind of garment. I’m sold.
