Beneath Your Beautiful Campaign

I had the opportunity to work as Model Coordinator at my good friend, Joy Ubani’s event—the Beneath Your Beautiful campaign. I love this event because it seeks to empower self-esteem through fashion. Which is exactly what I believe fashion does, if you let YOUR beautiful shine through!  Check it out:

The other knowles.

Solange-NY-mag

Everybody knows Beyonce Knowles. Beyonce, Queen Bey, Jay Z’s Wife, whichever you prefer. She is so fabulous that Beyonce that we all try to dance like her—but, you know. We could talk about Beyonce all day, I know. But did you know that her sister Solange Knowles has an album or two?! Her newest EP, True, is not fierce like Beyonce’s 4, but it’s cool. Its vibe-y.
Plus, she dresses so cool:

Burberry Prorsum, Killin’ it.

Burberry Prorsum is the forward-thinking line of well-established British brand, Burberry. During London Fashion Week, they showed a fantastic Spring 2014 Ready to Wear line which focused on pretty pastels and the celebration of women. I just want to wear everything! I love the way the Burberry explains the collection—a sort of “decadence.” I see it. Can I wear everything? It’s fabulous. H to T, as Tyra Banks would say.

Zendaya.

Have you heard Zendaya‘s  new self-titled album yet? I’ve been listening to it on replay (you’ll get it in a minute!)

Check out the acoustic version of one of my favorite songs on the album, Replay:

Go girl!  Okay, now a lesson in werk from this pro. Her style is the perfect mix of cool with a definite hip-hop influence and girly with a glamorous vibe. Love love love this girl’s style!

Rita Ora.

Today’s lesson in werk will be taught by Rita Ora, a singer-songwriter reigning from the UK who was most recently in the news for an early morning fast-food run with our fave supermodel, Cara Delevingne. In my mind, though, this girl is all about her fashion. She’s our resident risk-taker. Don’t know what I mean? Take a look:

This girl just wears what she’s wearing. And it works. And she werks. Do you love Rita Ora’s style? What about her song, “Shine Ya Light”?

What do you think? I’d love to hear from you!

Little mix.

A while back at Teen Vogue‘s Back-to-School Saturday at the Grove, British girl-band Little Mix performed one of their singles, Wings. Check it out:

Don’t you love their style? They’re all about bold, graphic prints worn in new ways ( I especially love Leigh-Anne‘s top). Oh, and no big deal, there’s just a full-blown fashion show going on during their performance. Love it!

Read my lips.

Usually, I try to stick with just Burt’s Bees lip balm (which I may or may not have a 5-pack of) , nude lips, red lips, or sometimes I’ll go for orange. But lately, I’ve been loving dark lipstick. It’s glamorous and unexpected. Nothing’s better than that. Check it out:
